THE FOLLOWING cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Court:
February 17:
ROBERT HOLMES, 67, of Horne Road, West Berkshire, admitted committing an act of outraging public decency by performing a sexual act on himself in his front window in West Berkshire on July 8, 2020. Fined £120. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
ERNEST OBIHARA, 22, of Beverley Road, Reading, admitted possession of class A drug MDMA in Reading on August 24, 2018. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months. Also ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
RYAN MURPHY, 19, of Newbury Road, West Berkshire, admitted possession of class B drug cannabis in Thatcham on September 2, 2020, and admitted using a vehicle without the correct insurance and without a valid test certificate in Thatcham on September 2, 2020. Fined £415. Also ordered to pay £41 victim surcharge and six points added to driving licence.

ATEET THAPA, 25, of Richmond Road, Reading, admitted possession of class B drug cannabis in Reading on September 16, 2020. Fined £80. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge.
FILIPPO VERGANI, 18, of Shinfield Road, Reading, admitted drink-driving at Reading University on January 20, 2021. Found to have 90mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £300. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 23 months.
JASON EVANS, 40, of Russell Street, Reading, admitted failing to stop a vehicle when required by a constable in uniform in Rembrant Way, Reading, on June 22, 2020. Also admitted using a vehicle without the correct insurance on the same occasion in Reading on June 22, 2020, and admitted driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence. Also admitted stealing alcohol worth £150 from Sainsbury’s in Reading on October 10, 2020, and admitted stealing £98 worth of alcohol from the Friar Street Sainsbury’s in Reading on October 12, 2020. Given a community order to comply with drug rehabilitation and must pay £139 compensation. Also ordered to pay £95 victim surcharge. Six points added to driving licence.

February 18:
ROSS KEPPEL, 38, of Oxford Road, Reading, admitted vehicle interference in Wokingham on January 20, 2021. Given a community order to comply with drug rehabilitation. Also ordered to pay £95 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
EMMA GOODCHILD, 21, of Redhatch Drive, Reading, admitted drug-driving on the A4 Bath Road, Reading, on September 4, 2020. Found to have cannabis in her system. Fined £300. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.
CHELSEA ORGAN, 28, of Three Mile Cross, Reading, admitted drug-driving in Shinfield Road, Reading, on July 23, 2020. Found to have cocaine in her system. Fined £100. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.
STEPHEN KENNEDY, 59, of Oxford Road, Reading, admitted two charges of assault by beating in Reading on February 13 and February 14. Sentenced to 18 weeks in prison suspended for 18 months due to severity of offence and injuries. Must undertake 180 hours of unpaid work and pay £200 compensation. Also ordered to pay £128 victim surcharge and £250 court costs.

LEE CUMMINS, 35, of Ian Mikardo Way, Reading, admitted three charges of drug-driving in Basingstoke Road, Reading, on July 4, 2020. Found to have cannabis and cocaine in his blood. Fined £100. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.
