Men arrested on suspicion of drug offences in Sonning Common

TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after a quantity of cash, documentation and electronic devices were seized.

Following a warrant that was carried out on Tuesday, June 30, the men were arrested in Sonning Common.

Officers carried out the warrant at an address in Sedgewell Road, and the items were found in the property and seized.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs of class C.

They have been released on bail.

Detective Constable Nicola Henderson, based at Reading police station, said: “Thames Valley Police is committed to tackling serious and organised crime.

“Those who take part in the supplying of drugs cause substantial harm to the community. Officers will continue to work to prosecute those involved in criminal activity and to protect our communities from harm.

“I would like to remind everyone of the dangers of taking unknown pills. Despite appearances, there is no way of knowing exactly what you are putting into your body and whether it is safe.

“If you (or someone with you) has any problems after taking drugs, seek medical attention immediately by ringing 999.”

Anyone with concerns about drug supply in their area is asked to report to 101 or call Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111.
