Lane7 a bowling, gaming and entertainment business with venues in London, Birmingham, Bath and Bristol revealed plans to open its first location in Reading this autumn.
The bowling company will occupy the former Mothercare unit in King Street which has been vacant since December 2019.
In order for bowling, entertainment and the sale of food and alcohol to take place, the company required a premises licence from Reading Borough Council.
The licence has since been granted, meaning the company can keep activities going until 1am each night.
Examples of games provided at other sites include mini-golf, digital darts, ping pong, shuffleboard and more fun activities.
According to a post on the Lane7 Instagram account, guests can even engage in ‘digital shooting’ using mock rifles to shoot 3D wild boars and other digital animals.
It’s unclear when the venue in Reading will open, as no information on the location is available on the company’s website.
Lane7 was approached for information and designs for what the venue may look like inside, but the company has not responded.
It currently has 15 venues spread across Great Britain, with two locations in Dublin and another in Berlin, the capital of Germany.
The website states it has upcoming venues in Milton Keynes, Cardiff, York and Belfast, but no reference to the site in Reading is available on the company website yet.
