Plan to turn vacant Reading town centre solicitors offices into flats

Former offices which housed a solicitors company could become flats, with plans submitted to transform the part of the building in central Reading.

Plans have been submitted to convert part of St Laurence House, 10-12 The Forbury, from offices into five flats, seeking permission for the change of use.

The three-storey building is in a conservation area and is next to a mixed-use building known as Sussex House.

There are flats on the upper floors, with the vacant former EJ Winter & Sons LLP Solicitors on the ground floor.

St Laurence House overlooks the Churchyard of St Laurence Church.

The whole building will become flats if the plans are approved.
