Reading town centre pub reopens following Covid-19 test

A POPULAR town centre pub has reopened after a short closure following a potential Covid-19 scare.

The Allied Arms has reopened it doors after the virus test on the partner of a key member of staff was returned negative.

The management team decided that the pub should close on Monday, September 14 while the tests were ongoing, in order to safeguard the members of the public.

The pub reopened on Thursday, September 17.

The team said they would like to pass on their thanks to staff and customers for their patience and understanding throughout this difficult period and take this opportunity to underline the importance of using the Track and Trace App each time you go to the pub, to use the available hand sanitiser and to maintain a safe distance from other customers.
