Five cinemas in Reading and Bracknell open this weekend

AS THE country gets used to social distancing measures in shops, more and more people are returning to shops and places of entertainment.

If you are looking for somewhere fun to go this weekend, why not visit one of these cinemas across Reading, Wokingham and Bracknell:

1. Vue Cinema, Reading

One TripAdivsor reviewer said of this cinema on the Riverside, Central Reading: “The cinema was clean and we had been issued with tickets with the seat number.

“There was a seating plan outside and that helped us to get straight to our seats. Very good cinema.”

2. Everyman Cinema, Wokingham

The newest of all the cinemas on this list, Everyman Cinema on Elms Road, Wokingham left a good impression on this google reviewer: “Went for the first time tonight and very impressed.

“They have an awesome bar area where you can get a beer, wine, cocktails Before or after the film or to take in with you.

“Drink an old fashioned in while watching a movie in the cinema? Thank you very much!

“You can even order burgers that they deliver to your seat.

A great night out. Definitely going back.”

3. Showcase Cinema, Winnersh

Reading Chronicle:

Showcase Cinema, on Reading Road, Winnersh, has been rated “Excellent” by more than half of all reviewers on TripAdvisor. One customer wrote: “Literally the best cinema trip I’ve had in a long time.

“The reclining chairs are amazing because once you sit you have so much space and it has adjustments so you can make yourself comfy, I honestly sank into the seat.

“The set up is lovely and the cinema itself is so big so there are a lot of screens and a large variety of snacks and food as well.

“Me and my partner got hotdogs, popcorn and nachos and we ate it all. It was so yummy!”

4. Odeon Cinema, Bracknell

Reading Chronicle:

If you scowl at the prices of most local cinemas, then Odeon Cinema at The Point, Bracknell, might be the spot for you. Many customers have left comments on TripAdvisor saying that this cinema is “excellent value for money.”

One comment read: “Great service, friendly staff and excellent value for money. Far cheaper than most other cinemas.”

5. Cineworld, Bracknell

This cinema, on Eagle Lane, The Lexicon, has been praised by customers for its health and safety measures upon reopening post-lockdown.

One TripAdvisor comment read: “I’ve visited this cinema twice since its reopened after lockdown.

“I’m very impressed with the new procedures that have been put in place and staff really are doing their best to make the experience enjoyable, despite the situation.

“I’ll definitely be coming back.”
